I was first exposed to the world of ecology during my undergraduate degree, where I completed a thesis assessing the impacts of habitat loss on Common Tern reproductive success in Hamilton Harbour. Since then, I have ¬completed my Master of Environmental Science in the beautiful Bay of Fundy studying mercury bioaccumulation in coastal food webs, worked with Atlantic Puffins and Leach’s Storm Petrels at remote sites in Newfoundland, and conducted invasive species management in the unique Carolinian forests of southern Ontario. My appreciation for the outdoors fuels my interest in conservation and my desire to mitigate the impacts from environmental stressors on Canadian ecosystems. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Birds Canada as a member of their Key Biodiversity Areas Program identifying areas of ecological importance in Canada.
